But i think this has some games which might hold your interest. I know some on my list arent what you call F-Zero racers. (Credit to Decoyrobot for reminding me of this title, the link and descr.) Ridge Racer Unbounded: Its done by the guys who made Flatout 1-2-UC and features a track editor, not as advanced as trackmania but its still pretty decent. It's the same game with slightly less impressive graphics. Try out a N64 emulator if you have problems setting up the PC version on 64bit systems. Upgrade system which let's you customize your pods You can buy Upgrades with money won from winning races (truguts I believe). Many different pods to choose from even sebulba's. Insanely fast pod racing across numerous planets in the SW galaxy. Fun gameplay, driving feel isnt that good imo.īurnout Paradise: A golden oldie Many people felt the game had an excellent sense of speed, a great damage engine and praised the open world gameplay (a first for the Burnout series). A reddit favourite.īLUR: Mario Kart with modern cars. Nitronic rush: TRON/Neon Riders Arcade racer. The UI is integrated into the backend of the cars wich is really slick. You can even make 747's crash into the runway to sweep your opponents. You can use combo points to blow stuff up on the track and change it for your followers and you for the next round. Very nice driving aswell for an arcade racer. Split/Second: Amazing racer with track changing abilities. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban. Please heavily consider re releasing the PS2 version on PS4/PS5 and possibly making a new one to follow that has the same feel./r/Games is for informative and interesting gaming content and discussions. The graphics have even aged extremely well, among everything else in the game (game design, gameplay/physics, etc etc). Brilliant and under appreciated game that deserves more recognition, play time, and so on. The game still plays like a modern one, even better than some modern arcade racing games which is insane. This game is way too good to let go to waste, it's beyond underrated and has a ton of untapped potential. Whether Remastered in HD or just rereleased with upscaling, can someone at EA try to make this happen, please? A new one would be great of course, but I think releasing the PS2 version digitally on modern consoles first would really get more people on board (new and old fans) plus it'd be extremely nice to have a digital copy - especially in 1080p, maybe even with trophies if not too much of a hassle.
